For nearly a century, Farrar Road stood at the heart of Bangor’s footballing story.

From 1919 to 2011, its terraces and touchlines witnessed moments that reached far beyond a local ground. Giants of European football passed through its gates - Napoli, Atlético Madrid, and Liverpool among them - while cups were lifted and league titles won on a pitch that carried pride, belief, and history in every blade of grass.

Some of the game’s greatest names played there. George Best, Bobby Charlton, Stanley Matthews and Emlyn Hughes, to name a few. Legends whose careers spanned the world, yet who all once graced Farrar Road, adding their chapters to its story.

For generations of supporters, this was where football lived - where fathers brought sons and daughters, where floodlights cut through winter evenings, where hope, noise, and belonging filled the air.
